Dr Dan Rogers

DEWNR

Before joining government, Dan Rogers worked on a number of postdocs at Lund University (Sweden) and Adelaide University, across aquatic ecology, fire, and woodland restoration.

He joined the environment department of the South Australian Government as conservation planner, and is currently employed as Principal Ecologist for the department.

Dan is responsible for providing technical oversight and strategic direction for the DEWNR's ecological science programs. A strong focus of his work is on the development of effective collaboration between research institutions and natural resource managers, and to maximise the impact that evidence has on environmental decision making in complex policy contexts.
