Dr April Reside

The University of Queensland

April Reside is a postdoctoral research fellow working in Theme 4.4. Her prior research focused on climate change impacts and biodiversity conservation using spatial modelling, to identify future biodiversity hotspots and refugia. She applied conservation planning frameworks to identify spatial priorities for climate change adaptation for biodiversity and carbon sequestration for Natural Resource Management planning for climate change adaptation.

April worked as a field ecologist with Australian Wildlife Conservancy before undertaking a PhD on the impact of climate change on savanna birds. She sits on the Recovery Team for the Black-throated Finch, and Birdlife Australia's Research and Conservation Committee.
